How Solar Energy Can Help You Save and Earn—A Smart Investment for Homes and Businesses

We do our best to scour social media for our members posts so that we can like and comment and share. This helps with engagement and new followers and obviously that steers new leads and business to you. Here Clare Spink from Solarwyze (learn more about them here) talks about one such opportunity we created. (And yes that service is included in your £25 a month subscription. Recently, I was tagged in a Facebook post that posed an important question:

“I’m considering going green with solar panels. Are they worth it? If you have them, share your thoughts—are they a money saver or merely a trendy gadget?”

The responses were filled with real-life accounts from individuals who made the switch. Some of the standout advice included, “If you’re going for it, invest in a battery,” and, “You need to evaluate the initial costs and ROI.” One commenter mentioned, “We’ve had ours for nearly two years with batteries, and we’re close to covering the entire system’s cost.”

I know Mandie is a huge advocate for solar energy; she’s been running her hot tub all year long for free thanks to the electricity generated by her solar panels! That’s right; she doesn’t have to stress about soaring electricity bills during the chilly months because her solar system takes care of it.

This made me reflect on the confusion surrounding solar energy, particularly when people are unaware of its financial benefits in the long run.

This is where SolarWyze steps in. We assist individuals in making informed choices about solar by demonstrating that it’s not solely about lowering energy expenses—it’s a legitimate opportunity to generate income whilst helping towards a sustainable future.

Whether you’re a homeowner or a business owner, solar panels are much more than just a trendy gadget. They represent a savvy investment with tangible financial returns.

Consider two of our recent customers:

A residential client who installed 24 solar panels in May 2024 has already generated £1,994 in a few months through savings on their electricity bills and selling excess energy back to the grid. Similarly, a commercial client with a 30-panel system has generated £712 in the first month after installation. This business is on track to recoup their investment in just 5.6 years, while the residential client has an estimated 6-year ROI. Our ROI estimates tend to be conservative, so exceeding expectations is quite possible.

SolarEdge technology is our preferred Solar PV system because it optimises each panel individually, ensuring peak performance even in less-than-ideal conditions. As a result, our customers are not only saving money but also earning money—and doing so quickly!
