General Event Info
10 am (You are welcome to arrive early and have a 1 2 1 with another business woman, we promise not to disturb you. You are also welcome to arrive a little late (we get what busy looks like!) We don’t sit down until 10.30am.
Make sure you put your business cards and literature on the Business Promo Table (remembering to take any spare when you leave.)
Refreshments arrive at 10am.
Midday – We complete the Structured content and we encourage our business women to stick to a 60 seconds or less elevator pitch to ensure we hear from as many business women as possible and still finish at midday, so that there is time to freely network too.
12.30pm – Feel free to stay on to network some more or enjoy the facilities of our venue and have a meeting over lunch or coffee.
£12.50 when purchased in advance – £15 on the day. (Special rates charities and members)
With all events if you bring 2 friends to the event then you can attend that event for FREE. (This must be pre-booked & paid for and we ask that you let us know the names, business names and contact details of your friends.)
And it is always fine to just turn up on the day.
The first half hour is for networking. Get to know people, swap business cards and build those connections. If you are looking for a particular type of business or met someone before but can’t remember their name, then speak to our coordinator and they’ll do their very best to connect you.
If you are new to our network, we really want you to feel at home. We aim to stay near the door to give everyone a warm welcome, so just say it’s your first time and we will do all we can to look after you. We will also be happy to introduce you to other members so that you have someone to get to know from the very start.
At 10.30 it’s time for the structured section of the event. The coordinator will let you know of any business opportunities we know about, ranging from other great events to opportunities to get you and your business in front of the media.
The coordinator then hands over to the speaker for the master class. This is always related to personal and professional development to help you become more successful at work and is never someone secretly selling at you!
The BWN is about empowering business women to feel confident in every area of business. We attract some of the UK’s leading speakers on Business & Success including Nigel Risner, Anthony Steers, Pete Cohen, Kubi Springer, Mary Keightley, Alexandra Watson, Kay White, Ron G Holland, Steve Clarke and Richard Jackson from Mancroft International covering topics from digital marketing and productivity to communication, work life balance and increasing your profit margin.
The master class lasts approx. 45 minutes and there is plenty of time to ask questions and get the answers you need for success.
Finally, the first 20 business women to have booked get a 60 second promo slot and if we have enough time, we extend this opportunity to the rest of the room.
If the event has been sponsored, we hear from the sponsor for 10 minutes as well.
We finish at 12pm, although many stay on for lunch to continue networking.

You can have a stand at any BWN event – contact us for details or book on the event page that you wish to attend. A great way to showcase your business to a roomful of potential customers. Offer mini sessions, bring along your products, get to talk in more detail about what you do.
Exhibitors are welcome to arrive from earlier to set up and it is on a first come first served basis as to where you set up.
